PEPFAR NOW SHOWING!

last november, i posted a background concept art i did for WB. the project was for an AIDS awarness campaign in africa. upon going thru the usual art blogs i visit, i found out that stephen silver happened to be the character designer for it. you can see silver's designs HERE and the finished shorts are on the HIV free generation site which is HERE. the following art below was for the short "LEFTY", which i did some conceptual art of the shanty town that the character lived in. it was a pretty neat project to work on and i've heard that they are playing these shorts on a buses around africa. i wish i knew who modeled the city in 3d so i can give some street cred...

Really nice layouts, Ang. I still think your sketches/renders look the best. I know the end product was 3D, but they should've taken your illos and mapped them onto the basic 3-D structures. They did this in Tekkon Kinkreet, and the end result looks really good.

Hey, I think my internet dropped while I was leaving a comment last time, so I'll spam your comments box again. (sorry if this is repeating the same thing.) Thing's are as good as times will allow for now - drawings and fam are pretty much my life at the moment, and I'm hoping to keep that balance as the days go on.

Hope everything's going good on that side. From the look of things on your blog, you've already reached that 37th chamber of the shaolin. Say hi to Sah for me.
